Abstract In order to predict the ballistic limit of ceramic/ UHMWPE composite protection, a theoretical model ceramic/UHMWPE protection for projectile was established based on A-T and fiber energy dissipation model. impact process, fragments will experience ceramic dwell, fragmentation layer dissipation. The obtained is compared with experimental simulation results. results show that residual velocity by in good agreement results, it can be applied penetration certain extent.
